Les associations pour la propagation de ľ instruction grecque à Constantinople (1861-1922)

Abstract

After a general historical survey of the importance of the associations
concerned with the Greek communities, the author examines the subject
of the promotion of instruction and of cultural activities of Greek associations in Constantinople, from 1861 to 1922.
The author classifies the associations —162 of them for the time being—
in four categories, according to their special aims, and gives items of evidence of their activity.
