Abstract

The anacreontian poetry in the Balkans during the XVIIIth and the beginning
of the XIXth centuries has close ties to the illumination and the corresponding folk songs of the time. This poetry achieved to develop thè verse
towards melodiousness, optical beauty, expression and nobleness. Reference
is made to Athanasios Christopoulos, Petko Slavejkov and G. Vilaras, as well
as a comparison of their works.
