Die Erscheinung der bulgarischen Endung -йя an Stelle der türkischen -i/-i/-ü/-u

Abstract

The normal réalisation of the Turkish suffixes -i/-t/-ü/-u as - ия in Bulgárián
(genii ) гемия) and the sporadic appearance of Bulgárián -ия in
Turkish nouns ending in -a (балтия ( balta) is explained with the hypothesis
that both noun categories in Bulgárián resuit front corresponding Prototurkish
nouns ending in *-ίγα (кория ( * korty a, балтия ( *-baltíyä).
