Abstract


In modern education, creative writing is a valuable educational method with multiple cognitive, pedagogical, mental and communicative benefits. This article begins with a brief presentation of the principles of creative writing, emphasizes in the findings of modern Text-linguistics on new genres, reconsiders the forms of narration due to new educational and communicative technology and revaluates the targeting of the course of Ancient Greek texts translated into modern Greek. According to these, comes a teaching proposal of making good use of creative writing in the course of Iliad, which students can apply for approaching the epic poem in a recreational and joyful way, free their imagination, perceive the meaning of an ancient text in modern terms, form their own texts and merge new values into traditional ones.
