Οι γυναίκες στη Διοίκηση Σχολικών Μονάδων

Περίληψη

The aim of this research was to investigate the perceptions of teachers of the Secondary Education regarding the role of women in school management. The initial design included a random sample of thirty teachers of both sexes, from all types of schools - urban, provincial, day, evening,  Gymnasiums and Lyceums. However, a fact that is recorded in the limitations of the research, only thirteen teachers responded positively to the present research, due to the fact that their opinion was requested during the summer vacation. Regarding the data collection tool, the semi-structured interview was chosen to better capture the data related to personal views and attitudes. The interview questions were fabricated using a digital tool, a Google form, and emailed to the interviewees. The answers were coded by the method of content analysis, in particular by the method of “path analysis” in five axes: effectiveness, inhibitory factors, preference of existing ones, knowledge, social skills. The analysis of the interviews reveled that all respondents believe that effective governance can be achieved equally by both sexes; however, differences were recorded in
questions related to the concept of the administrative work.
