Abstract
This study gives an account of the Georgiadis family, who settled in
Alvanitochori, near Veliko Timovo, in the nineteenth Century, and was one
of the last Greek families to do so. On the basis of the codices belonging to
one of its members, the writer also explores this family’s philological interests
and investigates information about the activity of Greeks in thè area of Veliko
Timovo towards thè end of the nineteenth Century.
