Abstract

The Greek-Yugoslav Relations were burdened by the legacy of the Greek
Civil War. But after the Tito-Stalin rift Yugoslavia could survive only with American help. Since both Greece and Yugoslavia were threatened by the
Soviet factor, the way was paved for a mutual understanding with the British-
American mediation. Yugoslavia thus renounced any territorial claims on
Greek Macedonia.
