Περίληψη

This paper aims to present innovative teaching strategies in the context of “University Teaching”, which has systematically cultivated in many foreign academic institutions abroad. The development of this branch of teaching and learning methodology (didactics), and the related interest of institutions for effective teaching and learning are integral to the changes observed at the level of international policy for higher education, which redirect to the “knowledge and market economy”. In this context, the academic teaching acquires new content: many foreign universities accept that teaching can not continue to be the “poor relative” of research. Thus, they are financing the establishment of centers or institutes for teaching and staff development, while promoting research in the cognitive domain of concrete objects and seeking to establish friendly teaching and learning environments. The adoption of innovative teaching and learning strategies requires general change in the culture of the university organization and, of course, changes in attitudes and practices of academic staff. Moreover, it is necessary to reform the content of the courses, be interconnected to each other horizontally and vertically to reduce the size of audiences, to provide systematic support from the organization, to promote changes.
