Περίληψη

The "Activity Theory" is a modern social learning theory, which attempts to offer a different way of approaching learning by emphasizing on the kind and quality of the activities of the subjects, as a key learning factor. On the basis of the "Activity Theory" the "activity" is understood as a set of individual actions of personal character, which influence and interact on each other formulating a common systemic framework of activity in its own personality, character and orientation, that is the result both of the interconnection of different systemic considerations, and of the (existence) historicity of the roles and transformations leading to situations of individual and collective change. The potential of the principles of “Activity Theory” is to be highlighted in this paper through its application on the design of the lesson planning process of the Religious Education subject, focusing on issues related to the transformation of religious concepts into the learning content, as well as on the main learning processes leading the learning subjects into cognitive and socio-emotional change through such educational interventions and adaptations.
