Περίληψη

The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether an instructive intervention for 3rd grade students in the mental calculation of additions and subtractions of two-digit numbers promoting the N10 strategic through the use of the “empty number-line” improves the performance of low math achieving students. Forty three students participated in this research, the results of which showed that the use of the N10 strategic through the use of “empty number-line” improves significantly the performance low math achieving students in the mental calculation of additions and subtractions of two-digit numbers.
