Εφαρμογή και αξιολόγηση ενός προγράμματος εκπαίδευσης εκπαιδευτικών για την προαγωγή της Φυσικής Δραστηριότητας μέσω του σχολείου

Περίληψη

The aim of the present study was to examine the effectiveness of a teacher training programme and aimed at promoting physical activity.The study involved 18 teachers of different specialties (M = 50.2, SD = 6.32, 12 women) from secondary schools, who completed a questionnaire before and after the programme. The questionnaire assessed behaviour change, knowledge acquisition, transfer intention and experience of participating in the programme. In addition, two weeks after the end of the programme, semi-structured interviews were conducted with two teachers to qualitatively evaluate the parameters of the intervention. The findings showed an increase in knowledge and intention to use the educational materials, while no changes were observed in the dimensions of the behavior change model. The results from the interviews indicated positive experiences of participating in the programme, as well as an increased appreciation of the importance of the proposed activities and the practical examples it included.
