Abstract

In this publication we try to locate in the area of North Greece, especially in the section of services, the differences between the regional areas and the rest Northern Greece, as well as the serious problems into these regional areas. Thessaioniki, as a pole of development, represents problems in all sectors which don't allow to have a quick development in services although it has some regional advantages. The same applies for the pole of Kozani-Ptolemaida. The rest prefectures of North Greece seem to have a better branching organization, but with many problems because of the negative local factors.
