Abstract
This paper attempts to determine the role of the local development centres in the developmental strategy process at the local level. To this direction, initially are sketched out the basic theoretical approaches for the local development and the relative terms. The interconnections and differences of these are impressed. After this, the significance and the necessity of planning microregions in the configuration and the implementation of local development strategy are analyzed. On this base, the basic directions of developmental strategy in local level are determined. Finally, an effort of configuration of the basic frame of policy for the local development centres, as well as the policy application conditions, is becoming.
