Environmental impacts from the implementation of re-allotment schemes in the semi-mountainous zones

Abstract

In this report an attempt is made to find out if there were any consequences on the environment, and of what kind, due to re-allotment schemes. The research field chosen was a community in the semi mountainous zone. The field research in the above mentioned community together with the re-allotment archives investigation lead to some observations concerning the economic, social and, primarily, environmental impacts, of the re-allotment schemes' implementation. Based on this specific example and through comparisons to similar cases in other countries certain conclusions were drawn considering the re-allotment schemes' implementation in the semi-mountainous zones at country level.
