Abstract

The present work is a study of the employment distribution in Industry and Services in Greece through the last 30 years, based on data from the Greek Census Bureau ('68-'78-'88). By using the multidimensional analysis method of automatic classification it is possible to observe the development of major employment areas for every region in Greece. The method enables us to predict new investments in high technology areas and consequently to prepare the personnel of existing companies to smoothly adapt in the new techonological environment.
