Abstract
The main objective of this article was to analyse the degree of effective-nessof the allocation of funds designed by the Greek Authorities under the framework of the Regional Part of CSF II. The findings derived from the comparative analysis showed that the criteria used for the allocation of CSF Π funds were far away from sufficient and politically orientated. A completed set of new allocation criteria are finally proposed in developing a more representative and fair allocation machinery, as a result of this article.
