Περίληψη

What do students think of Technology? A trial of the revised PATT attitude questionnaire with Greek students of grades 9, 10, and 11. The PATT research group, (Pupils' Attitudes Toward Technology), at the University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands, that is it is claimed, suitable to international use. Translated into students' mother tongue, it may be used from age 14 upwards. The PATT questionnaire has five scales: Interest, Social consequences, School Curriculum, Gender, and Career. Each scale contains 10 items. The original English version was translated into Greek and a copy of it was given to each of 102 high school students, grades 9-11, of 8 different schools selected at random. The data analysis has shown that the five scales of the PATT questionnaire may be used to measure the attitudes of Greek students toward Technology. Alternatively small changes may be made to the composition of the scales in order to obtain improved reliability and face validity.
