Περίληψη
Evaluating the microteaching courses in which they participate teacher students usually stress as an important positive effect of them the possibility of overcoming the "beginner's anxiety" and the "shock of the praxis". Searching in this direction we have administered Spielberger's State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) in the Greek adaptation by A. Liakos, the A-trait form at the beginning and the end of the summer term and the A-State form at the beginning and the end of each microteaching session. Analyzing the findings we have come to the following conclusions: a. the consistency of the test-retest data of the A-trait form confirms the high reliability of the inventory.
b. The level differences of state-anxiety before and after the first teaching trial of the subjects allows the interpretation that the microteaching training functions as an efficient tool of facing the shock of the praxis by prospective teachers.
