Περίληψη

In this paper we focus on the dictation and classification of pupils conceptions about the concepts, the relations and the phenomena with regard to fluids and pressure. The subjects were 339 Greek pupils aged 13-14 years and were all given a written questionnaire of 15 tasks, after teaching. The data analysis concerning pupils' conceptions led us to the formation of a concept map which represents the views of the majority of the pupils and compass both scientific and alternative ones. The concept map compared to the simple recording of pupils' conceptions, has the advantage of grafically representing the knowledge structure of the domain, highlighting not only its elements, but also the way they are interrelated the concept map is suitable as an instructional material.
