Περίληψη
In this paper we investigate pupils views about the concept of density and particularly if pupils attribute to density, which is an intensive quantity, the features of an extensive one. For this purpose we have developed a valid and functional questionnaire, by interviewing a small number of pupils. This questionnaire has distributed to 152 pupils (13 - 14 yrs) and the results of the study partially verified our research hypothesis. One out of three pupils have views about density reach to the scientific ones. An other one out of three pupils consider that liquid density depends on its quantity. Views about density opposite to the scientific model are owned by pupils who also have confused views about the variables that define density. Our results reveille instructional implications that may lead us to the introduction of density in the obligatory education.
