Φόβοι Κρητών και Κυπρίων φοιτητών

Περίληψη

The study described here compared the fears existing among Cypriot students to those existing among a group of students from Crete. These two islands are culturally very similar to each other, but Cyprus experiences a difficult political situation due to an ethnic conflict that continues between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots for decades. It was found that Greek Cypriot students reported more intense fears than the students from Crete did in areas related to the war, the end of life and the unknown. These findings are discussed on the basis of the contextual realities of the participants.
