Περίληψη

This study investigates the organizational climate perceived by 444 teachers in 42 state primary schools in Greece, and its relationship with teacher, head teacher and school (OCDQ-RE) instrument of Hoy and Clover (1986). The OCDQ-RE is a standardized questionnaire which provides an instrument for measuring teachers' perceptions of teacher-teacher and headteacher-teacher social interaction. Findings reveal four school profiles: open, almost disengaged, almost closed and closed. The best predictors of school openness are school's low socio-economic level and teachers' age and experience. From the results some implications may be advanced for ongoing policy discussion in the field of educational administration and school improvement in Greece.
