Περίληψη

This article examines curriculum as pedagogical ideological - political and sociological text and supports the view that the new ideological and institutional frameworks of our era prefigure a meta-modern paradigm for curriculum based on the modernization of modernity. Meta-modernity is defined as the reaction against the limiting rule of rationalism; the expert opinion which lacks a philosophical spirit, the technocratic -instrumental curricula and de-personalization of contemporary public education. Problems of the applied curriculum arc discussed and the enlargement of the participation of the teacher in the decision making procedure is supported.
