Περίληψη

In this article curriculum development in micro-level is viewed as a procedure underlying the pedagogical autonomy of teachers. It is supported that the new era of globalization, meta-modernity and the European unification demands new roles for both, students and teachers. In these context teachers as curriculum developers make decisions about the modification of the undifferentiated curriculum in order to meet the needs of all students. Issues of Needs Assessment and Differentiation are examined as important pedagogical procedures closely related to teachers' role as curriculum developers.
