Περίληψη

This paper focuses on secondary student's experiences about internet. Students experience a technological reality in their everyday life and they also are taught about it in their schools. As a result, they develop thoughts and beliefs concerning the different services provided by internet. We study, here students' conceptualizations of the World Wide Web and more specifically of the use of WebPages. This is part of their curriculum of the subject called informatics. Students' experiences and conceptualizations are studied by means of two research tasks that used before the typical school teaching. Models and categories of aspects in their answers are presented and discussed. Students seem to have some knowledge form everyday experience or from previous teaching, but their ideas are fragmented and deficient. The specific characteristics that students' thinking presents and observations based on the content of their books led to the development of a teaching intervention that is based on the introduction of the concept of "system". First experiences from the use of this intervention in the classroom, are also discussed.
