The students were administered a questionnaire shortly before graduation concerning their background, educational experi¬ences, future plans and job seeking skills. The second phase of the study was a follow up survey approximately one and a half year after graduation exam¬ining the transition of this cohort into the workplace. In particular we explored the types of jobs and salaries the graduates received, their job satisfaction, an their perceptions on the usefulness of their degree and its relevance their current job requirements. This article utilizes some of the data collected through the longitudinal study to draw the profile of Cypriot students graduating from local higher education institutions and to depict their transition from college to labor force.
