Περίληψη

In educational research the two main methodological paradigms are the quan¬titative and the qualitative one, the former being applied most often. In the present paper, within a qualitative framework, an autobiographical text is analysed using two different methods, the biographical approach and critical theory. Research based on life narrations attempts to examine and bring to the surface the experiences of common people, with the additional aim to present how they perceive the world and their daily reality, as well as how they link their own life story to contemporary history.
