Περίληψη

In this paper, Suzanne Hidi and K. Ann Rennninger’s four-phase model of in¬terest development is implemented in Modem Home Economics and, more specifically, in the subject unit that refers to environmental and social issues. Through subsequent stages of interest development (triggered situational in¬terest, maintained situational interest, emerging individual interest, well-developed individual interest) and by being highly motivated to achieve complicated learning outcomes, students are expected to develop socially ma¬ture environmental awareness and consciously incorporate values that can lead to permanent positive behaviour changes.
