The purpose of the study was to examine students’ attitudes and intentions to¬wards coping with school stress via physical activity and exercise as well as to determinate their stages of change for their above behavior. In this study 228 pupils participated. The study was held through questionnaires and all scales had acceptable levels of internal consistency. The findings indicate that the majority of the students (48.7%) appeared to be in precontemplation and con¬templation stage, whereas only 19.7% of the pupils appeared to have the in¬tention to cope successfully with stressful school situations (action stage). Statistical significance differences were found between the variables (attitudes, intentions etc.) and the stages of change. The results of the study revealed the need of further investigation of the appropriateness of theory of planned be¬havior and changes of change model and their relation with students’ intentions to cope with school stress through physical activity and exercise.
