Περίληψη

The aim of schooling is not only to cultivate the cognitive abilities and the socialization of pupils, but also to enhance their personal characteristics which determine the pupils’ behaviour and their attitude in life. Thus, the concept of "emotional intelligence" has been of high priority among educa¬tional objectives over the last decades. This article presents the planning, development and evaluation of a pedagogical intervention programme of emotional intelligence implemented in a primary school in Thessaloniki, Greece. According to the results, the participants succeeded in understanding how to pay attention to their feelings and learn from them, thus strengthening their personality and improving their emotional intelligence competencies.
