Περίληψη

Undergraduate students of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, who were trained in experiential education through experiential workshops, understood its principles, identi¬fied them as components of their education in their self-evaluation texts and applied them in their field experience education. The categories that ensued from the analysis of the self-evaluation texts and appeared most frequently are presented in this present article in addition to those that were presented in previous and were related to the workshop trainers actively listening to their students, the role of group trainers who facilitate and accompany knowledge, the participation of learners in the learning process and verbal and non¬verbal communication issues between trainers and students. The categories in the present article are related to a) associating knowledge with trainees’ interests and real life b) group working c) experiencing emotions d) constitution of pedagogical relationships and d) program flexibility based on emerging goals.
