Περίληψη

This study investigated the strategies that 11-12 year old children with learning disabilities (LD) used to cope with bullying. A group of 36 children with learning disabilities was compared to 244 children of the same age without learning disabilities. Bully/victim status was assessed with the Peer Relations Questionnaire (Rigby & Slee, 1993) and coping strategies were assessed with the Self-Report Coping Measure (Causey & Dubow, 1992). The results suggested that children with LD are more often victims and bully-victims and they tent to use different strategies to cope with victimization compared to children without LD. More specifically, children with LD use less problem solving and more distancing, internalizing and externalizing coping strategies than children without LD.
