The research on school effectiveness, which has been systematically launched since the 1960s, revealed that there were differences in school management, organization and school climate among schools where students achieve high performance and schools where students achieve poor performance. Linking research on school improvement with school administration and organization has turned the question to the practices contribute to the school effectiveness. This article presents some of the practices, which directly or indirectly affect the effectiveness of the school. Data presented in this article is part of the findings of a quantitative research, where 1492 Greek teachers of primary and secondary education took part in a nationwide survey about the existence of the factors that improve school effectiveness.
