This study explores the School principals’ value orientations. The sample consisted of 6 Principals of schools with many teachers from the town of Alexandroupolis. The principals’ values were explored both indirectly with the use of vignette technique (hypothetical scenarios), upon which participants had to decide; and directly, where participants were asked directly about their personal embraced values during semi-structured interviews. Findings indicated that principals’ values affected their decision-making process, with the values of consequences for immediate clients and collaboration manifested more. On the other hand, from the direct exploration a variety of values was emerged, which function either as the desired goals to accomplish for principals, or as the desired means for the accomplishment of their goals. Finally, recommendations are made for further research, and for the Educational Executives’ professional development, training, or selection.
