Περίληψη
The purpose of this qualitative study is to examine the representation of new teachers in the teaching profession during the final years of the financial crisis. We conducted numerous interviews with Greek and French secondary school teachers (Philology-Science teachers) inAthens,Thessaloniki,Paris,Creteil. We used the semi-structured interview and the data was interpreted with the use of Thematic Analysis (Braun & Clark). A comparison of the learning environments in two EU countries enables us to distinguish the working conditions while considering global developments. Furthermore, through this comparison we examine the reasons behind the development of a new context of work and the representations of the teaching profession as shaped by current circumstances.
