Περίληψη

This article attempts, through a review of contemporary literature, to show how Theatre Education is suitable for the application of the principles of Positive Education, and how this can be beneficial for all students, at a time when the modern school faces countless challenges.


The purpose of this article is to approach the field of Positive Psychology while clarifying its basic terms and elements. Then, the application of the principles of Positive Education and possible positive benefits derived from it will be sought. As education based on Positive Psychology is gaining increasing recognition, many schools are choosing to base their curriculum on it, such as Geelong Grammar School. In addition, an attempt will be made to seek a link between the teaching of drama education and the implementation of Positive Psychology principles through it.
