Περίληψη

The study examined the sexual attitudes of a group of students (N= 107) (from primary education department, University of Thessaly). For the purpose of the study, the DSFI sexual attitudes subscale (Derogatis Sexual Functioning In¬ventory- Attitude scale) was used to evaluate a range of sexual behaviours. The scale constitutes a reliable and valid instrument widely used for sexual attitudes measurement, which has been validated in the Greek language. The question¬naire also included questions about gender, age, educational level, religiosity, current sexual life and importance of sex life in order to explore the relationship of the above factors with the sexual attitudes. Students’ religiosity appears to be associated with less liberal sexual attitudes whereas students’ current sexual life, importance of sex in their lives and their socio-economic status appear to be associated with more liberal sexual attitudes. The present study showed that social factors and personal experiences influence considerably sexual attitudes.
