Περίληψη

The present study aims at presenting the educational policy of our country (Greece) as regards the teachers and the directors of Primary Schools. In initially refers to the meaning, the content and the significance of Further Education and then it attempts a survey of the legislative framework of the last thirty years. This survey introduces critically the institutional interventions of the State on the issue of Further Education and Professional Training of teachers. Finally, a brief reference to the European Programmes of Further Education is made.
