Περίληψη

The relation between left-handedness and cognitive abilities has preoccupied many researchers in the cognitive fields of biology and psychology. On the contrary, a small number of studies found in the literature, are studying the relation between hand preference and school performance, as part of the educational sciences. Additionally, few researchers have studied the relationship of familial sinistrality in school performance, as defined by the educational system. The necessity of the contribution of biology and psychology in educational sciences, as well as the integration of their current findings in the educational system, is highlighted.
