Abstract

The paper concerns an empirical research about the teaching methods, which are used in Greek secondary schools, especially the ones that participate in the teacher training practice of student teachers of the Department of Philosophy and Education, Aristotle University of Thessalonica. The results show that the established teaching styles and the classroom climate in general have a traditional, old-fashioned character and give little chance for structural innovations and significant educational reforms.
