Abstract

The paper aims at assessing some of the positions related to the practical dimensions of the critical theory framework for adult education and learning. The focus is on empowerment as part of the transformative learning process in adult learning, as well as the catalytic role of the adult practitioner in empowering and assisting the adult learner towards emancipatory action.
