Abstract

In the present article we investigate the way with which the students, parents and teachers evaluate their school. The research was conducted in two stages. The opinions of the members of the educational community were studied with focus group interviews. Based on those interviews we structured the question¬naires for parents, students and schoolteachers. Questionnaires have been given in five public schools in various regions of Cyprus. The sampling was selected purposively. All teachers in each school, the students of three bigger classes, as well as the parents of those children participated in the research. Participants place emphasis in the quality of teaching and in the need for equal opportunities for all children.
