Περίληψη

The purpose of the research is to investigate the opinions and attitudes of pre-school teachers in units pre-school of the mountainous region north-east of Ilia, about the role they have in school management and their professional identity, which seem to be connected with their self-image and self-perception. Important parameters are: leadership, educational policy, self-perception and self-image. Questions that were being researched here are: how the teachers’/educators’ professional identity is determined, if it affects the configuration of their educational level and if the professional identity relates with the leadership style they choose. As methodological tools were being used the semi-structured interview and the questionnaire in an attempt of a methodological triangulation. In conclusion, it is noted that the personal choice and the educational level relate to the way the pre-school teachers determine their professional identity, as well as, their self-perception is being connected with the selection of management they choose.
